Oldham 9, Nelson County 1
Great game tonight, faced a really strong pitcher from Nelson
and got him out of the game with us leading 2-1 and then we
turned on the jets. It really was a team effort, with everyone
contributing. Game Notes:
Jon Jones scored a big run to put us ahead 3-1
Sam Spayd made several outstanding plays at first including a
great stretch
Chris Webb had a hit and caught great
Andrew Pennybaker had a hit and an RBI and scored the run to put
us ahead 2-1 with a steal of home
Davis Culbertson had a triple and scored and made several nice
plays at third
Jared Brussell had a big hit in the second inning to drive in
our first run and played great at second
Michael McGee pitched 3 scoreless innings for the save and had
an RBI
Tyler Covington pitched three strong innings for the win
Peter Sohn had a double and a single and was on base 4 times
with 2 runs scored
Adam Clark had a homerun (back to back with Jacob) and 2 RBIs
Jacob Roy had a 2 run homerun and a single, 3 RBIs and 2 runs
scored
Ethan Cleary played great in center and had a single, was on
base twice and scored a run.
July 6 St. Matthews National 8,
South Oldham 1
St. Matthews broke open a 2-0 game late to get the win.
Game Notes:
Chris Webb Caught great and was on base
Andrew Pennybaker caught great and hit a hard shot up the middle
Ethan Cleary made two highlight plays at second base, had a
double and was on base twice
Adam Clark had a double and an RBI, he also made two really nice
plays at third
Jacob Roy pitched well in relief and had a single
Davis Culbertson pitched very well
Michael McGee hit a hard smash to first
Jared Brussell had a great hit
Sam Spayd played great at first base and had a hit
Tyler Covington hit a shot at SS his first time up
Peter Sohn played well in center and had a single
Jon Jones hit a hard shot the first his last time up
July 7 South Oldham 11, St. Matthews American

South won with a Davis Culbertson walk off 2 run homerun in the bottom of
the sixth!! St. Matthews American took leads of 4 runs and 2 runs, but SOLL
kept making comeback after comeback. South improves to 2-1 in pool
play. Game notes:
Jared Brussell had 2 doubles, 3 RBIs and a run scored
Jacob Roy was 2 for 4 with a run scored and played well at SS
Chris Webb was on base both times up, including a single and made a nice
catch in right
Adam Clark had a double and a single, 2 runs scored and an RBI and a nice
catch in left
Andrew Pennybaker had a single and caught a great game
Sam Spayd made a spectacular play at first to double off the runner and had
a single, RBI and run scored
Ethan Cleary has a single and a double with an RBI and two runs scored
Tyler Covington played very well in the field and had a good at bat and
coached third
Michael McGee pitched well and had a triple and an RBI with a run scored

Jon Jones had a single and scored as a pinch runner
Davis Culbertson had a double, a homerun, a stolen base, 3 runs scored, 2

Oldham 5
All five of the South runs came off homeruns, but other than that, the SOLL
bats were silent.
