Game Date: may 4,2004 Description: Everyone was on the edge of their seat as they watched the Orioles and the Red Sox battle it out for a win on the scoreboard. The Red Sox fought hard, but unfortunately lost to the Orioles in a very close 11-10 score. Here are some of the highlights from the very exciting game. The first inning began with Edward bringing the Red Sox to first base with a single hit. Joseph followed with a line drive into the outfield - a great double! Blake Bisig stepped up to the plate and hit a single that brought Edward and Joseph home for the Red Sox's first two runs of the evening! Skylar drove one up the middle to bring in a run and John followed with a single. Cole's single hit drove in the fourth run for the Red Sox in the first inning. Our hitting looked good again in the third inning as Blake Benefield started the Red Sox with a hard hit to left field for a double. Joseph hit a single and Blake Bisig followed with a double. John hit a single and the Red Sox brought in a total! of 3 runs in the third inning. Steven started the hitting for the Red Sox in the fourth inning with a hard hit up the middle for a single. Hunter continued the hitting with a double and Alex with a single that drove in another run for the Red Sox. The fifth inning brought some more great hitting from the Red Sox as Edward had a hard hit to the right for a single. Blake Bisig had a line drive to center and brought in another run. Skylar had another strong hit that secured him a place on first base. Way to go guys - keep on hitting! The sixth and last inning had everyone biting their nails as we hoped the Red Sox could bring in some more runs. With a lot of effort, Steven and Hunter each hit a single. However, the Red Sox were not able to pull ahead and win the game. The game ended with the Orioles winning 11-10. Great try guys - it was so close! Everyone enjoyed watching you play such an exciting game and we know we can go out there and win on Saturday! Go RED SOX!!!!!! |
