Excitement filled the air as the Red Sox played the Orioles Saturday afternoon. Although the Red Sox lost 17-12, they showed a lot of effort and determination. Good try Red Sox! The first inning brought some hitting from Blake Benefield with a strong double up the middle and a single to third from Edward. Joseph drove in a run with his single and Jacob had a single too. Cole Morgan had a great single in the first inning too! The second inning brought a hit to the outfield by Steven to secure him a spot on first. Blake Bisig and Blake Benefield each had a single in the third inning. The fourth inning brought exceptional fielding and hitting. The Red Sox were forced to take the field again after scoring the maximum seven runs for the inning before using all three of their outs! Way to go guys! John had a single to short followed by Cole Morgan with a single driving in another run. Steven had a single to short and Alex had a single to third. Cole, Skylar, and Blake! Bisig all hit a single to help drive in more runs for the Red Sox. Blake Benefield nailed another double and Edward hit an awesome triple to bring some scoring to the board for the team. The fifth inning showed Joseph with a double to short and Jacob with a single to third. John and Cole Morgan each hit a single. The sixth and final inning brought a lot of excitement and anticipation as the Red Sox were up to bat with the score 17-10. They really gave a lot of effort as they attempted to come back. Hunter hit a single and Skylar hit a triple to bring in another run. Blake Bisig had a great hit and drove in another run also. After the sixth inning, the final score was 17-12. Good try Red Sox and good game by the Orioles. All the boys did a great job and played hard!
