SENIOR
- MINOR LEAGUE
For ages 9-10
What is Senior-Minor League?
It's a league offered by S.O.L.L. for 9 and 10 year olds that allows players to
face live pitching from kids with similar skill levels. Some leagues
have one division for kids ages 9 to 12, but S.O.L.L. divides their players into
two divisions to help younger kids continue developing their skills.
Facing a live pitcher for the first time can be an intimidating experience for a
young ball player, let alone facing one who might be 12 years old. By
creating a Senior-Minor League, S.O.L.L. attempts to "level the playing field"
for younger Little-League players so they can continue to develop and practice
fundamental baseball skills with kids of similar age and receive maximum
enjoyment from the experience.
