Description:

The Yankees started out playing well rounded baseball.  Defense and timely hitting were the key to this win.  Jordan Cripe pitched the first 4 innings for the Yankees going hitless in his first 2 Innings.  The timely hitting was done by Bryce Jewitt and Tyler Capps who both tripled with runs in scoring position.  The Rangers put up a fight flashing some great defense.  The main source of this defense was their shortstop Trafton Holder who made 6 outs in a row for his team.  But the Yankee bats and relief pitcher Jake Nichter were just to much for the Rangers who fell behind and never caught back up.  Although the Yankees won, both teams played hard and everyone went home a winner.
