Description:

With the rain racing through the Crestwood area just 1/2 hour before the first pitch, the Orioles were able to muster just six players for their contest against the Reds in a Rookie Division re-match.  Forced to forfeit, the O's played gallantly in a two-inning scrimmage contest, before succumbing, 10-8 as the Reds' defense played superbly.

Josh Hurt stood tall at the plate for the Reds, with two singles, two runs scored, and two RBIs.  In all, the Reds pounded out 19 hits in two innings, with every Red getting at least one hit.  Defensively, the Reds got a number of good plays from several players, as they forced five outs in just two innings.  T.C. Falkner had two unassisted force-outs of runners at first base and at home plate, and was on the receiving end of an assist from Shaun Montgomery in the first inning when Montgomery threw out a runner from his second base position.  At the other corner of the field, Jack Newcomer and Kyle Blair each forced a runner at third base.
