Description:

For the third straight game, the White Sox fell behind early, but for the second consecutive contest, the Sox rallied from a big deficit to win. After giving up four hits and four runs in the first, Sox starter Morgan Franklin settled in and shut out the D-Backs in the second inning. At the same time, the White Sox wiped out a 4-1 deficit with a five-run inning to take the lead, 6-4. After the D-Backs rallied to tie the game at 9 after three innings, Nathan Gendron helped the Sox to retake control of the game. Nathan pitched the final two innings of the contest, holding the Diamondbacks scoreless, and striking out the final four D-Back batters. At the plate, Nathan provided the offensive punch in the fifth inning to give the Sox the lift they needed. After Jacob Fairfield got on base with a walk, Nathan drove him in with a monstrous double to center field that gave the Sox the winning run. Nathan then stole home on a wild pitch to give the White Sox some insurance, resulting in the final 11-9 score.
