Description:

This was a battle between 2 teams with identical 7-1 records with the A's being on a 7 game winning streak.  The first inning was pretty much the same on both sides with the Red Sox scoring 2 and the A's scoring 2 on hits by both teams.  In the second the Red Sox were shut down by the A's and the A's scored 2 more runs in their half of the inning  on a few mistakes by the Red Sox.  The Red Sox were not about to give up though, as they got the bases loaded and scored a few runs on pass balls and then an inside the park grand slam home run by Andrew McDonald cleared the bases and ended the inning at 7-4.  Matt Rowe then shut down the A's the rest of the game, and the Red Sox score 4 more runs in the 4th to end the scoring at 11-4.
